HAWAIIAN LAVA SUPERSALTY

Hawaiian black lava salt is the star of this bar with its ebony black crystals sometimes present in scrubbing clumps which are surprisingly soft on the skin. Activated coconut-shell charcoal is added to the pacific sea salt to enhance its color and to provide additional naturally occurring detox qualities which also works to restore & soften rough skin and brighten it as well. A “sip” of filtered coffee provides antioxidant activity to the melody of citrus essential oils of lemon verbena & lime married with the sensual nature of earthy, sweet patchouli & sandalwood essential oils - with a dash of peppermint - thereby providing a luxurious, spa-like experience in a bar of soap sure to be enjoyed. (Initial suds may be lightly gray because of the charcoal content). Safflower petals scatter the top to bestow a sassy bit of color.

All bars are individually hand poured so may vary slightly in color, size and shape from batch to batch and therefore may differ from the actual photos shown. However,
they measure 3.25 inches x 2.25 inches x 1 inch (like a deck of cards) and weigh approximately 5 ounces.

FYI:
Hawaiian lava salt is referred to as “volcanic” or “lava” salts because of its charcoal like properties. Charcoal is detoxifying, exfoliating, clarifying and has some pretty impressive antibacterial properties, similar to the lava salts which also have incredible nutrients & trace minerals not found in “normal” salt.

Coffee acts mainly as an antioxidant along within its other skin promoting qualities

Patchouli essential oil is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, antidepressant, antiseptic, astringent and enhances skin health along with acting as an aphrodisiac

Lime essential oil can treat skin diseases and irritations like acne. Lime has been known to soothe inflamed surfaces because of its antibacterial abilities.

Lemon verbena essential oil is a lemony, herbaceous aroma that is pleasant and uplifting, soothes anxiety and feelings of stress.

Peppermint essential oil is added as a stimulant “pop” in this instance

Sandalwood essential oil protects skin, prevents moisture loss, cleanses, purifies and brightens skin, leaving it feeling silky smooth.

Safflower petals are part of the sunflower family, added for color.

Trying to keep the products as natural as possible, I chose to create them with the addition of beneficial pure essential “oils”- which are potent plant based extractions from leaves, stems, roots or flowers of the plant or tree (that must be used appropriately, not to be used by those pregnant as a precaution).

Test soap on inside wrist if prone to sensitivity and wait 24 hours before full use.

These bars are made with an all glycerin soap base which is part of the regular lye soap making process. Glycerin’s main job is to pull and keep moisture close to itself which is why it is so moisturizing to the skin. However, due to its draw to moisture it can not be left sitting in water because it will absorb it and turn the whole bar gelatinous. Please remove to a soap dish or from direct constant contact with water.
