ITALIAN KITCHEN SOAP
One of my most popular bars - great for use in the kitchen especially. It is made with the addition of dried basil, oregano and parsley and their respective essential oils as well. Now that’s Italian! This bar was created because I noticed fragrance transfer on my hands when I washed my hands with traditional soap and then worked with food, notably greens. I thought to myself - “self?… wouldn’t it be wonderful to have great herbal aromas transferred instead?” And so we now have it! Holding the bar up to the light you can see all those special herbs ready for action - especially the very green parsley. Green tea is the extra antioxidant “sip” added to the already very antioxidant, antiseptic, anti-fungal, antibacterial & antimicrobial characteristics of these favorite Italian herbs. Smells yummy! (Don’t eat it though…)
PRICE IS FOR ONE BAR.
All bars are individually hand poured so may vary slightly in color, size and shape from batch to batch and therefore may differ from the actual photos shown. However,
they measure 3.25 inches x 2.25 inches x 1 inch (like a deck of cards) and weigh approximately 5 ounces.
FYI:
Basil, parsley and oregano essentials oils - all are considered antiseptic in nature.
Oregano has been used in baths for relieving aches & stiff joints and has a spirit- lifting fragrance.
Parsley is said to be soothing and cleansing when added to bath water - often used in cosmetics, shampoo, perfumes, soaps, creams and skin lotions.
Basil (my favorite) has a sweet and strong fragrance labeled as invigorating. It is often used in lotions, shampoos, perfumes and soaps - reputedly adds luster to hair.
Spirulina is added as a natural green colorant. It is a type of blue-green algae that is popular as a supplement, an antioxidant high in nutrients.
Organic green tea is added as an antioxidant - also has anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties.
GLYCERIN SOAP BASE INGREDIENTS - CLEAR:
Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerin, Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Sorbitol, Propylene Glycol, Sorbitan Oleate, Oat Protein (soap base can be labeled as vegan as per resource), organic green tea, dried basil, parsley & oregano leaves, basil, parsley & oregano essential oils and spirulina powder.

Trying to keep the products as natural as possible, I chose to create them with the addition of beneficial pure essential “oils”- which are potent plant based extractions from leaves, stems, roots or flowers of the plant or tree (that must be used appropriately, not to be used by those pregnant as a precaution).
Test soap on inside wrist if prone to sensitivity and wait 24 hours before full use.

These bars are made with an all glycerin soap base which is part of the regular lye soap making process. Glycerin’s main job is to pull and keep moisture close to itself which is why it is so moisturizing to the skin. However, due to its draw to moisture it can not be left sitting in water because it will absorb it and turn the whole bar gelatinous. Please remove to a soap dish or from direct constant contact with water.
